Meeting Minerva

Meeting Minerva

A Chapter by Dave Brown
"

"

When the Sasquatch met Minerva

In the dark forest

He had brought with him

A bouquet from the florist

With flowers both pink and green

In an effort to show her

He had a ‘love Minerva’ type gene

And to further his hairy image

Tried especially hard

To create the impression

He was a poetic Bard

However, his intense effort

Was badly scarred

Because one bouquet flower

Had left her in dread

Which was a large rose

Colored a beautiful red

Minerva knew the implication of this

Was the Sasquatch meant to get fed

Indicating the real reason

He wanted to meet her

Was to rip and tear her into small bits

So, he could gobble and eat her

Which was the real pits

Fortunately, a wise Minerva

Knew just what to do

Instead, chopping him up and

Adding him to her stew

And she kept the flowers too

You are a man after my own independent heart. I get pretty fed up with Sasquatch getting all the attention, when there are ferocious females out here in the woods. I love how your Minerva handily tosses this two-faced lumbering dimwit into her cauldron (exactly as I would've done) but I would've also chopped up the flowers for a spicy kick. Chrysanthemums are especially tasty in a bubbly woodland stew (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
