Grizzly

We sat together

At the mouth of his cave

Looking over at me

A monster yawn

Was what he gave

The winter so mild

He was unable to sleep

An he’d decided to roam

Back through wild’s deep

 

He stirred his great body

I was amazed at his size

Like a massive semi trailer

Hauling supplies

A huge fallen fir blocked his way

He took one huge paw

And thrust it away

Then, his great girth

Lumbered out of the cave

Raised up on two huge back feet

Let out a deafening roar

Stretched up against a thick standing fir

Sunk his claws into the bark

At his full height

Then after marking his territory

He looked back at me

And as he lumbered into the forest

He raised a front paw with a wave

This may be my favorite one from you so far. For a moment I was out there in the forest looking at a grizzly bear. Great work!

I'm not saying that he will be friendly toward everyone but we have had him over to watch TV a couple of times over the winter, to help relieve his boredom and apart from eating our goldfish and my ex son-in-law, his manners were impeccable.
