A Dream

A Dream

A Chapter by Dave Brown

There is a place I dream of

A place by the bluest of sea

Where such things as Mock Orange

Grow longside the Magnolia tree

Bird's nest there and squirrel's climb

And morn’s sun rises bright each day

Where clouds, soft and white not grey

Watch butterflies dancing aerial display

Where falling rain’s like fine wine

Only meant to compliment evening’s meal

And flowing moonbeams combine with

Heaven's heartbeats for a magic reveal

Grasses grow green and moss is seen

Neath Maple boughs spread overhead

It is there where I'll slowly sip that wine

Until each of my dreams has been fed
