A Chapter by Dave Brown

Conscientiously considering a cruisin comrade

Even out on the beach, where scantily clad

Or in an asylum, off the wall, majorly mad

Carefully check the want ad for your Galahad

All plain clothed prospects are simply too sad

Cuz none of them are wrapped in too cool plaid

Even Mom n’ Dad know pickin plaid is no fad               Cuz prized plaid is totally, so like so rad

A colored creation to enhance any doodad

A wardrobe wannabe like you’ve never had

Crated, collected and delivered by HIAB

Cladding the big boys in the overhead cab

When you’re leaving your pad and feelin glad

To be part of a Mossad triad, swimmin Lake Chad

Or a lonely lad hitchhiking, Stalingrad to Trinidad

Don’t dress like a nomad, or be unplaid in Riyadh

Without plaid undergrad’s would blurt out ‘egad’

So be too cool wrapped in hot colored plaid

Remembering that Alli-gooda had sang a ballad

As an ode to plaid, just before eating his salad

This has gotta be something you have read in a newspaper. Maybe people who won't eat pork don't mind having a piggie as a pet and dressing it in finery,? I was quite taken by that red plaid coat - but surely not in summer?
