Pleasant Day-o

Pleasant Day-o

A Chapter by Dave Brown
"

😎

"

When small Sammy fieldmouse

Ventured cross the meadow

Sydney snake was waiting for him

And he ended up quite dead-o

When Sydney slithered off

With a filled stomach type feeling

Freddie ferret, who was waiting for him

Found Sidney’s flavor quite appealing

Happy Freddie, back to his den then

With his stomach full of love

Pasted Ollie owl, and fit

In Ollie’s belly, like a glove

Had sorry Sammy not outward ventured

Or perhaps not gone that meadow way-o

He, Sidney and Freddie may have

Enjoyed a much more pleasant day-o

That's life for you Dave. Either in the natural world or in the lives of us humans, there's always someone out to getcha. A most topical write.

Have a good Sunday.

So sad..........
this is so much fun....not for Sammy, Sidney and Freddy, though.
I just can't stomach thinking of all three being eaten.

Like the grand vizier ball, an old pink Floyd album that came with a menu similar, a quail onside a hen inside a turkey on and on until it was all inside a dinosaur. Who knows how it fit in the oven 😊

A calypso meditation on Darwin here. I wonder if the serpent of Eden was named Sydney?
