Arguing

Arguing

A Chapter by Dave Brown
"

👩

"

I and my love walked a forest way

She typically arguing on this day

A hungry eagle swooped down from above

Grasping my argumentative turtle dove

It carried her far up into the sky

Yet, she continued arguing way up high

Not a word edgewise could that Eagle say

So, he returned her straight away

I like the couplet rhyme which adds flavor to this clever poem. Too bad the eagle returned her, it seems she’s a broken record and no one can stop her blabber. I guess you’ll have to put up with it or get a pair of ear plugs.
Well done Dave as usual!
