A Chapter by Dave Brown

I am running, fleeing, hiding

How far will my old legs carry me

If I can’t escape the screaming horde

I’ll soon be in a cemetery

I can almost feel their gross slimy fangs

Slicing down into my back

But not just worrying about being eaten

Also about their dirty teeth plaque

With the toothpaste on the market these days

Plaque should be a thing of the past

But these mad monsters know not of

Which is why I try to run fast

We find ourselves running past a TV outlet

Showing a commercial re; tooth paste

For some unexplained reason

The ghoulish creatures cease their haste

“Isn’t that the tooth paste we’re using?”

They all asked with clean flashing smiles

Had I known I could be eaten plaque free

I wouldn’t have run for so many miles

Absolutely funny, funny, funny! And a joy to read and start the day off on. A good hearty laugh. Thank you, Dave, for starting my day off with a smile. Plaque free I may add.
