14 Famished Frogs

14 Famished Frogs

A Chapter by Dave Brown

Fourteen famished frogs went fishing

With thirteen being not enough

Because holding up a full-sized fishing pole

For frogs, can be pretty tough

But apparently one frog was lame

With the rod being dropped eventually

And fourteen famished, PO’d frogs

Watched it float far out to sea

Jumping in after it

Nary one frog did hesitate

But a hungry whale shark ate six

Dropping frog numbers to eight

The remainder landed on a far shore

Where they went for a froggy type stroll

And what to their great surprise

Stumbled across their fishing pole

The salty sea water had shrunk their crummy, cheap, absolutely rock bottom quality, Chinese made, fishing pole

Which had the frogs irate

Until they realized

It could now be easily handled by eight

They cast the line back out

Landing it far out into open sea

Hooking a something far out there

A something they'd soon reel in to see

It was a sea creature with eight heads

With a frog being eaten by each one

Meaning that for all fourteen famished frogs

Their fishing trip was done
