A Poem by Dave Brown

Two Bee ladies buzzed by for a sit

Thinking toward an amiable chat-chit

Although both were quick to admit

Neither had on the perfect outfit

Chair sitting for Bees can be a bummer

Meaning sideways squatting for each tiny hummer

Often quite difficult for each newcomer

But usually restricted to only the summer

This day each charming Bee thought

A fresh shot of pollen would hit the spot

Then to the Waiter, within earshot

That they ordered, and that they got

Fortunately the Queen was out for the day

Which gave them some time to parlay

But not wanting to become nasty Wasp prey

Both downed their pollen and went on their way

One day... my neighbor and I sat in the shade of a Crepe Myrtle tree.
I held a young sibling on my knee. The breeze felt like soft rain song,
as we sang a lullaby. It was a pause in a "busy bee" life... but a memory
to embellish our Heart. tenderly reflecting your Art. gently, Pat
