Just Friends?

Just Friends?

A Poem by Von Starr

Friends...

all that we're meant to be...

yet you taunt me, around each corner...

steal my hugs and kisses...

telling me that I can never have you..

Obvious attractions...

sparks flying as your lips

molest me once again.

And hold me , against my will...

Making me think you will hug my pains away.

taste my smile... and caress my skin...

and lie to me all over again.

Make the lies become the truth...

as my eyes fasten themselves to yours...

our bodies matched in motion,

only to find your eyes to wander...

only to find you stealing the kiss of another...

So close I can touch, and even hold, at will...

But your lies keep me smiling...

And your distance keeps me wanting..

Only to be let down...

as your eyes, and libido seek another...

This is a great poem overall, and really like
your word useage, for example: molest me once again.

And hold me , against my will...

Making me think you will hug my pains away.

taste my smile... and caress my skin...

and lie to me all over again.

I didn't think in the last stanza libido fit with the flow and
the rest of the poem though. Good work though:).
