A Poem by Dave K

Ever searching for our best.

Never satisfied with what come forth,

Knowing greater lies within.

The will to win,

Yet we only place.

Why then the desire to fly when given no wings?

Perhaps wings are made, not given.

Knowing what we might be,

Can we tolerate what we are?

I like the poem and I agree with the logic.
"Perhaps wings are made, not given."
I believe we decide our journey and can fly to where we need to be. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

You are welcome.
I think this poem perfectly sums up humanity, its greatest strength as well as its greatest weakness. Where would we be without our longing for more and what will we become with our inability to be satisfied with what we have? Great piece of writing!
