I wrote something for you last night i hope you like it'

A Loving Friend

I have a friend who has a condition

We all hope she soon finds remission

She struggles bravely every day

Knowing somehow she’ll find a way

To push forward thru every trial

Giving up is not her style

A tender heart that holds no hate

Please lord will you lift her weight

Give her rest and strength she needs

For her work here truly seeds

Giving life and new meaning

To a world that’s lost and bleeding

The love she has truly inspires

Focusing completely on others desires

Never worrying about her own

It’s time for her to be shown

The love she has given was not a waste

Just ask the ones who’ve had a taste

They’ll say she’s warm and wild like fire

She melts your heart and takes you higher

I for one have been so blessed

To be of the few to pass the test

To taste her love the test is easy

Just be honest and don’t be sneaky

Once you have I hope you see

The same again we’ll never be

So in my prayers she’ll always stay

Always loved and respect I pay

To a friend with a condition

‘Tis my eye’s loving rendition

Of her as a person so listen to me

Give her a chance she’ll set you free

She did it for me and inspired my pen

Cause in my heart she’s always been
