Leave

A Poem by Deandra Dawn

Leave

Dance in the rain
please
kiss me and take away my pain
feel how my heart beats
see how I lay here in utter defeat?
leave me be
melancholy
but free
leave me to my torment
setting my misery in cement
leaving nothing up to your justification
I beg you
leave me to my own condemnation

As with whiskey, sometimes a slap comes when reading work. And I did not see it, or the hay maker to follow.

Started with some hope and ended with none. Good to have a pardner to dance in the rain with. Can be lonely if you desire little. A very good poem. Open the door to thoughts.

Very contradictory. I like it. Contradictory is good.

Starts off like this will be wonderfully romantic and slaps you awake with its painful conclusion. You must have a box of magic words you use to write with. Wonderfully done.
