Drinking

Drinking

A Poem by Hide From God

Staring down at my empty glass
Wishing I was somewhere else
Pour the drink, make me drunk
Seems it's always this way

Sometimes it seems it's the only way out
Drinking these bottles until my liver shouts
Working that booze up into my head
Another drink, another shot of it all
I'm wasting my whole f*****g life away

Drinking until my life fades
Sitting at the bar wasting away
My friends come in bottles of glass
I just want my life back

Everyone tells me I drink too much
I concur when I drain that last shot
I've lost everything just to drink some booze
The girl I loved, the friends I've had are all gone and past
Now I'm left with Mr. Daniels

Drinking until my life fades
Sitting at the bar wasting away
My friends come in bottles of glass
I just want my life back

Tattooed Hearts and Broken Promises. Oh girl this boat is sinking, There's no sea left for me. And how the sky gets heavy, When you are underneath it. Oh, I want to sail away from here, And G.. more..
