Once Broken

Once Broken

A Poem by Debra Stevens Edwards (debby)
"

A story of abuse and life after.

"

ONCE BROKEN

Crying woman
Spoken lies
Broken hearts
And alibis

Slamming door
Lonely eyes
Broken promises
Loosened ties

Tears are gone
Happy within

Found it here
In my own skin

All alone
Standing strong

Free of him
I needed so long

This is very beautiful. I have been going thru this for a few months. happiness really comes from within, and definately not from others. Thank you for sharing.
