Jennifer

Jennifer likes to read

Sitting in a lonely corner

The world whirls by without a care

But she passes them by

Jennifer likes to paint

One a pure white canvas

The world splatters on gray paper

But she colors them black

Jennifer likes to write

Magic words that grace a page

The world twists words until they break

But she gives them a gift

Jennifer likes to sing

A simple dancing tune

The world screeches out of tune

But she harmonizes with them
