Caitlin continues her travels taking a rest stop on the way and gets an unexpected turn of events at the vending machine

"
Caitlin watched the world blur outside her window, not at all surprised at the speed they were going. Max probably compelled the bus driver go at this rate, or made it so he could drive himself. She looked over to Jude, wearing a badgering smirk, “So. You think Max is a bit impatient?” That made Jude laugh, he shrugged simply leaning back in his chair before replying, “Would you rather be stuck in a crowded bus for five days?” he perched an in questioning brow. Her eyes widened for a moment at the thought before shuttering, “Oh god no,” she made a face and thought to Max jokingly, ‘gun it man!’ She grinned when she heard him chuckle before looking back over at Jude who was eyeing her. She cocked her head to the side in confusion, “What?” she asked when he didn’t explain. Jude just shook his head and looked back down at his phone replying to a text that Amy sent him. “Okay don’t answer weirdo.” Caitlin shook her head pulling her legs up to her.

She looked down towards her bag, before she gained the courage to grab her dismembered phone. She put the battery in and watched as the phone started to re-boot, when the screen went to her and Sean a small grin grew on the corners of her lips she waited until the messages finished rolling in before scanning through them all.

Fifteen school emails and reminders.
Thirteen from Jude's sister Sabrina.
A couple from my cousins.

Caitlin let out a sighed, giving up the rest of her hope of hearing from him. She locked her phone putting it back in her bag, leaning back in her seat. Her head leaned against Jude's shoulder absently, letting her mind start to get the best of her.

What if he has moved on and found someone else and he doesn't know how to break it to me that's why he has been shutting me out... Or maybe he with the distance finally got how much of a monster I am and ignoring me as a sign to stay away.

Caitlin's eyes closed, wishing that her mind would stop circling her theories. Her emotions started to get the better of her so she forced her mind to turn off and fall into a light sleep, her dream land started off calm and normal. But as the time passed by it slowly erupted into horrible nightmares that eat at her darkest thoughts. She slept motionless until Jude finally put her out of her misery when he shook her awake. She looked up at him with sleepy eyes.

"Yes mister caitiequake?" She asked with a yawn.
"Stole this from Max, a little bit ago the ride is gonna be a bit longer then he had planned so this is the 'Caitlin and Jude murder spree prevention kit' as he calls it." He chuckled handing her the thermos of blood. She took it wrinkling her nose not wanting to stay in this bus with human's any longer then it was necessary, unscrewing the thermos bringing it up to her lips taking a long swig before handing it back to Jude. propping her feet up on the seat in front of her, running her tongue along her teeth as she felt her fangs pierce out of her gums the taste of the blood overwhelming her sense. The look of hunger must have shown in her eyes because he handed it back to her telling her to finish the rest, without a fighting remake she drank back the remaining contents of the thermos screwing the top back on in a blur.
Jude eyed her teasingly and said jokingly, "greedy." Caitlin gave him a look and shook her head piercing her lips, "not greedy... Just hungry." "I don't think that there is a difference I mean, if you put me in the same room as some horror films and a cheese burger I'm gonna greedy the s**t out of that burger." He stated. Christina's eyes widened momentarily, "the foulest image just came to my mind. Jude. No just no. No ravishing the food." She said. "Are you sure you don't do drugs regularly?" He asked. Caitlin pushed his head and turned so she could only pay attention to the wall of the bus and the barely noticeable scenery.

Caitlin must have drifted back off to sleep because she wasn't prepared for the sudden stop of the bus her head smacking into the seat in front of her ripping her awake swearing in Old Italian brushing out past her lips, when she was jolted back into her seat. she could see out of the corner of her eyes Jude nearly falling out of his seat laughing at her being a human paddle ball.

"Jude I swear if we weren't in a bus full of humans...” She said slowly, her voice quiet enough for only them two to hear. Jude coughed to cover up his laugh and said, "Sorry Catie... Ummm well we are gonna make camp at a hotel for the night apparently the other bus couldn't handle the schedule." She nodded grabbing her bag putting it on her lap, waiting for the swarm of kids to leave the bus to avoid getting trampled. Finally standing up a bit unstable but managing out of the bus without Jude's offered help my eyes adjusting to the darkness that surround the middle of nowhere, "so over populated." Stating sarcastically, grinning a bit hearing Jude’s laugh to her comment already losing my anger for him laughing at me. She walked towards the rest of the school's group with him just as the teach was at the end of the speech of what not to do while in the hotel, she felt Jude turn to her speaking to her his tone hushed dripping with sarcasm "you go that?" "Every word." She laughed, nodding. Jude sported a devilish smirk walking into the hotel looping his arm through her's to get their keys and find their temporary roommates. Caitlin ended parting ways walking with a girl from her track team to their room, she focused on the floor not hearing a word of the babble that was coming out of the girl's mouth.

She stalked into the room ditching her bag on the bed she claimed before doing a u turn informing her that she was going to survey the area for some vending machines, the girl's reply was a short confused okay. She got down the hall before she found any, feeding it one of her dollars before looking through its selection it being distracting enough she didn't hear one of the football players walk up behind her or give her enough time to prevent him from pinning her back against the vending machine.

"Well hello Caitlin here we are alone at least." He smirked down at her mischievously.

Caitlin made a face that he clearly found amusing, "umm Nick what do you think your doing?"

His smirk broadened, "I'm helping you see what is right in front of you." He nodded, proud of himself feeling like his words were going to inspire he. She shook her head, "I still don't understand your jock logic. She stated. This made him sigh, "we are both here, single." He inched his head closer to her's before he continued, "away from school. The most of should be made of." It clicked Caitlin shook her head slipped out from under him, "no no no no." She said over and over before stating matter-o-factly, "and I'm not single, where ever you heard that they were mistaken." "So your boyfriend isn't across the country away from Penn and you are still together." He did a mocking slow clap, "congrates on your delusions." Caitlin glared at him before punching a random number in, and grabbing her treat, "congratulations on your small dick and f y I if I wasn't dating Sean I wouldn't hook up with you. That would be sad." She turned and walked back to her room closing the door behind her, leaning against it she sunk down. She looked down at the snack in her hand arching a brow, "my luck I get something with coconut in it..." She shook her head, "ill take it." Her team mate said and thanked her after Caitlin tossed it to her.

Caitlin stood back up with a small grunt, walking into the bathroom to splash some water on her face; as she was drying off her face she looked up at the mirror in front of her and barely recognized the girl looking back at her. She was defiantly her, she had her eyes but her hair was just slightly darker then it's original color and her skin was paler then normal. She put her hand to her cheek lightly and pulled it back now sure that it was her and not her just dreaming again like earlier, putting the towel back slowly and changing out of her uniform and into some pajamas before she finally came out of the bathroom. Dragging herself to the bed tiredly before sinking into it not even having the chance to move the comforter back. She fell into a deep dreamless sleep, which she welcome greatly.
