Author's Note

I like writing haikus. Simple. Pretty. Cheat way to have more writing. I wasn't kidding about that last one. This is an over-due tribute to Thanksgiving. Hence the basket allusion. So.. I've got New Years, Two Birthday Gifts, and an upcoming Valentine's day thing to worry about. I'll probably do some humorous poem about that day. :3

This was more so for my friends because they are my blessings in disguise.

Hmmm basket of straws. Is it because there are so many that all bind themselves together to make a whole? (yea i'm probably over-exaggerating but that's my best guess.)

Baskets are made of straws because women, who made the baskets, weren't allowed- and couldn't carve wood. And when they were "allowed?" Old habits die hard.

WOW LOL that sounded so...unpoeticized!!! All the other answers were so pretty and sweet... XD That's like my very first down-to-earth answer -_-

baskets are made of straw because during spring they're easy to make and if farmers have a hard bare winter then all they have to do is feed their animals the baskets (which are hay since they are dried out)
