Maybe in a Minor Key

Maybe in a Minor Key

A Poem by Dennis Shanaberg
"

...(or How Many Cliched Lines Can You Fit In One Song, You Talentless Hack)

"
The monotony is all consuming me,
And I don’t think that I can breathe...
( ( Or I don’t want to ) ) !
And repeatedly, I find it’s on repeat.
Oh well - Least I don’t have to think.

I don’t want to be here
Anymore.
Forgotten where I started for.
There has to be an
Open door,
But each tepid knock
Always
Goes
Ignored.

It’s never gonna be enough!
No, it’ll never be enough!

I was raised with such a great need to please
All those who don’t give a f**k about me.
( ( No. I don’t need you ) ) !
So sick of scoffs at my burnt offerings
( ( maybe I’m the problem ) ) !
I can’t help but to think...

It’s never gonna be enough!
No, it’ll never be enough!
It’s never gonna be enough!
I’m never gonna be enough...
For me.

The hardest person to make happy is ourselves Dennis.
"It’s never gonna be enough!
No, it’ll never be enough!
It’s never gonna be enough!
I’m never gonna be enough...
For me."
I understand the above lines. I feel I didn't do enough. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts. I hope you are doing well.
