inspired by Reese's Poem What They Didn't do.

What he didn't do

is something you always do

i look in your eyes

and it reminds me of whats true

 

A love with you is something

i wish to explore

and it's kind of difficult

with my past at my door

but my feelings for you

is something i can't ignore

and i realize i don't

love my past anymore

 

before i had dudes that had my heart

but i didn't have theirs

i'd say i love them

and they'd return blank states

 

When i say it to you

your reaction is different from theirs

i can look in your eyes

and know you'll always be there

 

you say those three words

and i know they're true

and i trust you know

i feel the same about you

I like... reminds me of how I feel of a certain someone. It's always nice to bury your past, as long as the present doesn't repeat history.

i liked how you switched up the beginning. it would've felt natural to write "you do everything he didn't do.." or something like that. but you wrote "what he didn't do is something you always do." that was creative. also, i liked the rhyming.
