Killing the Dream

It was the oddest thing

to watch death

flash before my eyes

the truth he so creatively

intertwined with lies

as he held me

his eyes never letting me leave

his voice

slowly...

slowly

killing me

as he killed the dream

Yes he killed the dream

murdered it

he stabbed it in the back

cut open it's throat

slit its wrist

and then adding insult to injury

sealed it with a kiss

the sadistic m**********r

that yes...i was in love with

killed the dream

killed my dream

and i..helpless..

could only watch

wont they just kill a dream the worst ones do things like have an eppiphany then start acting diffrent, but i liked how you capteured all the feelings in this poem.

Very nice! Yep very powerful, great lines and I imagine this would be great spoken outloud. I would, for the sake of readers, suggest putting a bit more punctuation in, but the poem is easy enough to read without it as well. Very good. :)

POWERFULL!!!! This piece really spoke to me cause I've just expierenced someone killing a dream that I had of us, but then i realized that it was my dream not thier's. Overall great write and expressiveness....
