River Rue

River Rue

A Poem by Desert Knave

Each little drop

involuntary

helped to form

a tributary

and through the years

it surely grew

`til it became

the River Rue

love the allegory....a river grows through its tributaries...and starts to rush faster....
just like sorry can start with a tear or two...and then the floodgates open...and the river of tears is allowed to run its course...
and the cheek becomes the riverbed.

Great metaphor here. The river (emotions) build up and gets stronger and then, it bursts....into a flood of tears. Great one, Jim. Sorry I did not see it sooner. Lydi**
