My Loving Mother

My Loving Mother

A Poem by Moonflower

My Loving Mother

Brilliant Goddess

Shining in my darkness

You are Light, Love, and Redemption

I fall desperately into your sacred embrace

My heart thundering in my weak breast

As my rib cage shakes in fear and exhaustion

I fall, down and down, shuddering under your wings

And I feel that featherlight touch, savoring the bliss

of your ominence

I can't look upon your face

shadowed by the sun

I feel the earth quake, your eminent power

reigning through out the lands

And your beauty adornes the world

Encompassing any other, any wonder

I fall back, emptied of any doubts or confusion

My body succumbs, relieved of this

Sin and filth

And I feel the weightlessness, emptiness

I sigh, sigh out that last churning breath

Expelled, and I feel unshelled

Your brightness

Love, like an ocean tide, pulling me in

Tucking me under soft wings and pillowy breast

Your porcelain skin like a refuge, I am safe

Safe from the physical, the impenetrable, the darkness.

Once again, the smooth style slithers through my mind like a snake.
Your words are gentle and well placed, but have an incredible energy
lying dormant within them. Beautiful work.

i don't think much about the "sin and filth" business; but for the rest of it, you give excellent expression to the nurture aspect of the mother god
