Bliss

Bliss

A Poem by Moonflower

Sleep Little Lambs

Hide
Your Innocent Eyes

Your Master
Will Save you
From your Own
Lies

Dream Little Lambs

He will Never
Let

you

See
Anything That
Hurts
That's to Truthful
To Believe

Walk Little Lambs

To the pasture
He leads you

Lay out your necks
So your master

Can bleed you.

this poem here is one of the gems of WC that deserves to be spotlighted,
the accentuated flow is the beauty of the wording, that speaks soft as a lull
yet the meaning is tragic as death itself, which really makes this poem
brilliant and a marvel to ponder in light of the emotion effects the
meaning has on the heart, 100 across the boards.

we are all pretty much what you describe here...at least in one manifestation or another..."TOO truthful to believe" Desiree honey...another well scripted and concise write...you are an expert in my literary satisfaction...

I had to smile at the twist at the end. The poem is like the warning itself... it flows ever so gently, almost hypnotic... then stabs the reader at the end. Much like those who give ear to false prophets... following blindly along until they're led to the Abyss. Fantastic job on this write...

I like to use the poor cattle when I want to use mass death of foolish people and things. This was a very nice tale with a easy beginning and bloody end. A very good poem.

LOL As a shepherd I always find the use of lambs as being blind and trusting and innocent hilarious. Anyone that believes it has NEVER been around lambs ROFL. They are anything but blind and trusting.

Very nice imagery, sweet, and such a sad feeling behind the words. I loved it.
