No one's coming

No one's coming

A Poem by Moonflower

Exquisite pools, are they in your eyes

Spilling over into restless seas,

I see the darkness, deep and wide

Have we ended all misery

With this tiny drop, we're measuring

Is it snowing underneath the tree tops,

blinding blue invades your sleep

I'm not trying to deny you

I never meant to fall so deep,

We're

turning into something so different,

Illumination, broadened mind

I'm not sure what it is made of

Have you seen the clouds, the vines

Is this what Alice was sure to speak of

Standing tall amongst the trees

I see them breathing in the distance

I think they're calling out to me

Mother Mary, Guide your servant

I'm among the roses, high

I look upon the empty river

and see so many things go by

Let the tulips be my mercy,

We'll climb to the tops of every building

And shout our names out into the city

As the rooftops begin melting

I'm not trying to forgive you,

to smile at your climbing highs

Lets just lay down a while, darling

Underneath our dragon skies

I like the imagery in this poem, from the very first sentence to the last. :)

this preetttyyyy much does what any brilliant love poem or song does: makes a reader or listener want love more than anything. I can't believe the beauty of some of these lines. I know I struggle with purporting a beautiful image without being redundant and every stanza here felt like something new and aesthetically enthralling was being displayed. great write.

Such a dope poem! Guess I didn't read this one... and since I knew what it was about I could immediately connect with each word. Naturally, the Alice reference is fitting. Every line drips with psychedelic innuendo, it's great. There is too much here I could quote - you definitely gave credence to the lethargic realm, good on you for being productive and capturing something from your experience. Well written, love the last line especially.

Again this is a masterfully written, beautifull piece... Has an effect of building around intricately woven layers...

wow! thank you for writing, because it is inspiring to read such natural
and wonderful way with wording that it comes to life, from a reader
standpoint, the emotions are so vast and enchanting, the snowflakes
capture the imagery, beautiful, loved it.

Nice... I like the disoriented feeling, like skipping stones across fairy tales... makes the scene all the more palpable... I see two wonderful, strange people who have connected despite all odds, and now their worlds collide in wonderful way... great job with this....
