<i> Who Wins it All<i>

Who Wins it All

A Poem by Desmund Tiny

We are little warriors fighting for their fun

In this situation, you can trust no one

Tell me ladies and gentlemen

Why do we have to be condemned?

Higher ups are cruel puppeteers

Twisting our strings with pain and fear

This is a nightmare not a dream

I don’t want it! Can’t you hear our screams?!

Sickly being played in this wonderland

Our hearts are being tortured by their Master plan

They put poison through me veins

And the grim slowly eats my soul and brain

Conscience has slowly faded

As our heart devoured by hatred

The right and wrong tend to be blurred

With their reason that are absurd

Can’t deny these darkness building up inside

Take it and carry the vengeance until I die

Kill, kill without a second thought

Be their toy, a killing robot

I don’t know if I am going to last

Because everything happens so fast

Only pain I can trust to get me through the day

In this hell, we’ll never get away

Ladies and Gentlemen, I’ll ask this to you again

Who wins it all in this game that is insane?

Who wins it all?!

A dark subject matter... Really has a great rhythm to it, good flow (through your clever rhymes). The images are just PHENOMENAL! Unbelievable...

Nice echo from the title to the end... A little suggestion try to have your main line "Who wins it all?" somewhere at the middle as well. This makes sure that the echo is consistent and stays well on the reader's mind.

Amazing read altogether.

Il be able to relate too this soon. I'll be shipping out for the navy soon and military is nothing more than a weapon of the government.

I can totally relate to this one. Small people like ourselves serve as mere pawns in the game of highly-positioned people...sometimes we can't tell what's good or what's bad, so everything becomes gray...and then, when we seek justice, we may succumb to what used to be dark area...
Anyways, I love this poem! It's strong meaning and very good expressions make it really awesome.
