The Other Woman

The Other Woman

A Poem by Dessa

I know who she is

This other woman of yours

The other person that you love

I know no matter how sexy I try to be

Or how often I throw myself at you

You’ll still go back to her.

When you’re with me I feel like I’m love and I’m the only one,
even though I know you have another

I should let you go and move on, but I can’t

I should put my foot down and demand you pick one or the other

But I fear you’ll pick the other

Because even though I have your love and passion

She has your bed, your house and your name.
