Oceans Greeting

 

You’re so endless

Why do I feel limited?

 

I gaze towards you

Take you into my body

 

You free my mind

My thoughts disappear

 

Even with the clouds

Looming threateningly over you

You’ve never looked

More at peace

 

If I could take you with me

Take you home with me

I wouldn’t travel far

For this fresh escape

 

I never seem to tire of you

I don’t want to leave without you

I need you

My yearly escape

 

Reality is so far from here

Be my new reality

 

Home never seems homey

Without the breeze

Hair tugging

Soothing sound

Of your eager

Whoa, I take it that this was written down in Florida? Your longing for the ocean's tranquility is beautiful. There's something indescribable, something immense, about sitting on the beach, watching the waves come forth and recede with more perfect rhythm than a metronome can make, and listening to the sounds of the soft breeze, coast birds calling, and the quiet rumble of the water's movements. It's so easy to become lost in thought and peace in such a setting, and it's no wonder that you wish to bring it home. It'd be bliss to come home from a stressful, busy day, walk out to the beach just outside your back door with an ice cold beer, and simply watch and let your mind wander. Excellently written as always!
