A Poem for Sharon Needles

Sharon Needles, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race, is amazing. I wrote this poem for him and I will be mailing it. I wasn't gong to show anyone besides the queen, but I decided to share it here. I like it.

when in doubt, freak ‘em out

a queer queen on her throne of glamour and bone
stupid and satanic with sparkles and slashes
she walks, wild, with fire behind her
she is a fierce female phenomenon, an untamable force
royal and raging, she is a deathly disaster  

strut! scream! strike them down and claim the crown
her voice rings through mass media madness

showgirls may shine, but sharon shrieks
breathing and bleeding breathtaking beauty
soaring, a fallen angel, the patron of freaks

a shock and a scandal for this painted punk vandal
drama and danger follow her footsteps devoutly
picket her! protest! stab and grab and fight and bite
she is above that, above this, above you
the attention shines on her stunning face like a spotlight

a rotten rebel rockstar, a friend of the bizarre,

the outrageous, orgasmic sharon needles
hell is her home and ice has her heart

her demonic presence presents unexpected love
she inspires the soul with her brainless, genius art

a sweetheart in her own damn way, dark, defiant, deadly, and gay

she captures hearts and captivates minds with looks that could be a crime
she has brought dark joy to desperate dying lives
satan himself has a spot saved for this queen of drag
with a face that kills and a personality sharp as knives
 she is sharon motherfucking needles
and she is my queen

I stumbled upon this, and I have to admit that I didn't know who Sharon Neddles was...until I read your poem. A dark and well done description and tribute! I especially enjoyed the line " Her demonic presence presents unexpected love."
