The Right to Be Wrong

The Right to Be Wrong

A Poem by Devin Gates
"

With freedom comes responsibility. You have the freedom to be as under-educated as you would like to be, but that does not give you the right to discredit or disregard well educated scientists.

"

The Right to Be Wrong

You don’t know everything, and that’s okay.

It will mean more tomorrow, what you learned today.

You have the right to believe what you want to believe.

You have the right to think what you want to think.

That does not mean, however, that you should deceive.

That does not mean, moreover, that you should make a stink.

You won’t say nothing, and that’s alright.

But that doesn’t mean, we won’t give you a fight.

You have the right to say what you want to say.

But we all know that words are not your forte.

There’s one thing you know, I think, you know.

You simply can’t fit where you don’t belong.

And although they won’t always be there to follow,

You will always have, forever,  the right to be wrong.
