This is more of a quick essay than a story, but enjoy reading it nonetheless.

The Trump Paradox

In a world of false information, and alternative facts, it is difficult for one to identify a trustworthy source of information. However, ‘difficult’ is sort of an understatement. When false information and alternative facts come from the leader of a country, that is actually dangerous. If any major news source publishes a story that President Trump does not agree with, it is fake news. If a council of scientists say that we sincerely need to think about using alternative fuel sources to slow down the warming of the earth’s climate, it is made up by China.

However, there is something else to consider; The Trump Paradox.

Let’s say CNN (fake news source) publishes a completely fabricated story that compliments and praises President Trump and makes him look like a hero. Would President Trump’s ego allow him to call CNN out for publishing fake news?

No, he'd say "Finally, CNN is getting their facts straight. Their ratings have been terrible, but now just watch them rise!" We are all living in a nightmare.

You are absolutely correct! Correct about the nightmare and the way in which he would respond!
