SHRINE

SHRINE

A Poem by DhaVerd

In my mind is our shrine.
I remember when you use to be mine, but in time you left before it was nine.
You're better and I never felt deader.
I didn't fall like a feather, no I fell and I'm falling forever.
How can you move on after all we had, didn't mean to do bad, in my heart you were clad.
I'm so glad I trusted you with my heart to hold and you left it beating out of hand (notice the sarcasm).
Left alone in this land where I can't stay bold, not with this heart left broken and used up like a token.
It was yours to keep and it was such a leap with you who I had trust.
But now I'm left with all this lust of all we had.
Obviously I feel so sad, hell it's driving me mad!
The hell is wrong with you?!
You left me broken, left my heart dead and everyone's pokin'.
Where are you goin'?!
You're moving on and I'm in place.
Trying to unlace as if I'm seeing your face.
Tracing our love, pasting in my mind, walking through our shrine.
I must move on but I can't help but look around, getting lost from what we found.
Can't help but stay bound.
