The painful truth

The painful truth

A Poem by DiaboliqueBelle
"

When you finally admit the truth

"

I thought I meant more

Than broken promises and empty vows

I thought I meant more

Then missed dates and pointless admissions

Please don't

Form your lips

Into more

Meaningless words

That will encase my heart

In a cement anvil

Headed toward

The deepest dark

Of your forgotten sea

Just cease

To be forever

In my thoughts

Just erase

The care suffocating me

Cause to no longer Pulse

Through this yearning rooted deep

Within my soul

For only you

Just be gone

From my most intimate memories

This sorrow

And this hollow

That both coexist

The woe

And agony

And lament

Have worn me down

To the bone

Until all that is left

Is shame

And misery

And so

To the emptiness

That is present

Instead of you

I kiss silently

And say

Good-bye
