This or That

This or That

A Poem by Digvijay Singh

Your lips shall never be mine

and also for someone else's

If hearts could speak, would

yours tell same as your lips

Parting glance of thy eyes

is love or.. mere delusion

No more i need to write

as my pen rest lifeless

Tonight we will know

If you lie better

Or i love

The question of love. We will ask often in a lifetime. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Lots of longing in every line of this one. The emotions are powerful and real....romantic. Lydi**

Fairy, it is.
You're welcome.
if you can't be with the one you really love...then the person you are with will never get 100 percent commitment...and that is not fair to that person...but in some worlds, it is just the way things proceed...
and we become Romeos and Juliets...

really like this one,

Since you come from a country where arranged marriages are common, I had to read this as being from someone who would've or could've married this other person for love, except that possibly the family's wishes were for something else. I imagine the married person doing the right thing, in terms of her family's customs, but this old lover, living in a world of longing, imagines she must not really love this husband like the narrator loves his lover, lost to an arranged marriage. It's a futile victory, even if the narrator is right about her lack of love for her husband (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
