Rush

Rush

A Story by Breezy
"

Something covered in my Creative Writing class was Tiny Fiction.

"

Rush. Dart between columns. Leap over stray dogs and men. Turn left in that alley"the one with the Mary Mural. Nod at baby Jesus as you pass and doge that pile of cardboard boxes. You’re doing great, just a little farther. Scale that fence"careful, it likes to snag clothing. Use that pole to swing left"you don’t want to slam into that wall. Okay, there’s the door"don’t knock, just open it. You’re just in time for dinner. Did you remember to buy the milk?

This was so innocent and cute, and nearly exactly portrays a child's simple thoughts. There are a few errors but those can easily be fixed. I really like the ending, too. This whole story just makes me smile.
