Flaming Shades Of Fall

Flaming Shades Of Fall

A Poem by Brandon Taylor-Black

Colours burst in wild explosions,
blazing in the shades of fall
They burn in symphony with my raging heart
Behold, autumns dreamweaver
Inferno bronze and yellows, dying
Colours unfurl in kaleidoscope dreams
In masses of a thousand and one
Bleeding
Unwearing their masks to summers last masquerade
Their flutes and horns make musik, haunting
Colours burst within
Spare me those unending fires!
Bestow upon me, those falling flames
As summer slowly dies
From the ashes and flames, reborn
Samhain is painted gloriously
With shades of flaming Fall
November,
Darkness, wild and frosty embrace
Towards its heart we plunge
Alas, we must burn and bid adieu
Within the flaming shades of fall
