Every Break

Every Break

A Poem by Annabelle Lee
"

Nobody gets me

"
When you look at me
I seem all laughs
But I'm hiding
All of my past
Yes, it happened
It could be worse
Yes I'm scarred
But I'm done with the hurt
I can't hide who I am
I won't be who you want
I'm okay being me
Apparently you're not
When you talk to me
Yeah we can laugh
But you don't see
Just how bad
What happened,
I know it could be worse
All my scars
I wish didn't hurt
I try, every day when I wake
To hide them, every crack
To cover every break
