Just One

Just One

A Poem by Annabelle Lee

One guy
Just one
This can't be
It's just not me
But I keep thinking
About me being
A one guy girl
Just one
How crazy is this
I don't know what it is
I've played around
Settle down?
That's not me
It never will be
Until this one guy
Just one
Day and night, rain and snow
He's on my mind, I'm sure he knows
He walks past and my heart thump thumps
He says something and it jumps
Just one
But then,
It only takes one
It only ever will
But is it one for now
Or one for real?
I'll go with for now
I have so much planned
He's just one boy
Who could turn into one man...
Don't think like that, though
You'll get off track
Because one's all it takes
To hold an Annie back
Just one
Just one
The one?
That one
He's...
No one

I like the ending with the Just one: I was like:

Oh yeah the crazy shtuff when we like someone, oh the thoughts and possibilities and suddenly I'm looking at a women's magazine for dresses O_O haha XD Just kidding but in all seriousness yup! That search for the one, shouldn't even be thought of until our biggest argument stops being:
"He stole my cookie"
"He won't sit with me during nap time"
"I wanted ice cream, but he just wanted to keep playing leggos"
Great poem! :D I enjoyed it so woot woot! :3

Anytime :)
"He's... no one"
- but not a no-one maybe The one - very clever word play Annabelle Lee. Your analytical style here of the situation hopefully will keep Annie right.

I love this style of writing. This inner speak...

Sod it, people suck anyway. Just learn to be happy without a crutch. I like this.

It's like pulling the petals off a daisy, he loves me he loves me not. Give it time the one will be revealed.

Love the stream of consciousness going on here. It framed your indecision over whether to settle on just one guy very well.

Like your musings here Annabelle, all the thoughts and possibilities that go through your mind in the beginning of an attraction, you're so young dear Annabelle Lee, you'll have plenty of time to think about who the real 'one' is!
