Messing around with Iambic Pentameter

Messing around with Iambic Pentameter

A Poem by Annabelle Lee
"

reading julius ceasar, would be so much more interesting if it rhymed

"
I never thought I'd ever meet someone
who thought the rain-clouds better than the sun
and here you come along and just to say
you wish the rain would wash it all away
life must have treated you rough and unkind
to render you so hardhearted and blind
why would you ever expect me to leave
I thought you would have had more faith in me
I guess that's what I get for caring so
And if you wish then I guess I'll go

My English teacher said that trying to write in iambic pentameter was hard well you proved him wrong and did a wonderful job of it. Keep up the awesome work :)

I like iambic pentameter. I'm glad you are into experimenting classic forms of poetry, Anna. This is good but I believe you can still improve this. Keep us posted.

thank you.
Rhyme and meter, meter and rhyme, you seem to have exercised or exorcised your scheming words quite well but only wear them if they are comfortable.

Thank you .
It's greek to me, I see where you were going with this one Annabelle, bit different from your usual satirical pen....the last line is kind of flat, I agree.
