Oh well

Oh well

A Poem by Annabelle Lee

Sometimes I honestly just don't
Don't know what to say
If it's religion or politics
I hope that that's okay
I read a bunch of Christians
Telling me god is good
And sometimes I'm afraid
Of my opinions being misunderstood
And then I read a democrat liberal
And everything they're saying
Sounds so wrong to this girl
I was raised conservative
Could on one hand count the times
That I've been to church
in my fifteen year long life
Not saying there isn't someone
Who's responsible for all of this
But God is supposed to be all good
Therefore this world could be His
And I guess I was just raised
Red blooded republican't
Let America fend for herself
Pull us out of this dependency crap
Most controversial issues, I take the angry side
Because it just makes sense to me
Disagreement is alright
So come shank me with your crucifix
And call me a racist cousin-humper
I may not even know yet
Which side I stand under
Not yet a whole lot of exposure
Out here in the boondocks
My mind's likely to change several times
So don't get your panties in a knot

Yet...
