Kinder sex (translation below)

Kinder sex (translation below)

A Poem by 外人 (Gaijin)
"

And this is basically why I think girls are cooler than guys ;)

"
Oh libertà della femminilità
che gridolini e spontanee posture giustificano,
a noi uomini tutto cio concesso mai sarà.
Helas* ! Vi è proibizione più frivola e vana?

L'affetto mostrate in ogni sua manifestazione:
Abbracci, baci e soavi parole che riscaldano i cuori,
mentre noi, duri come pietre siamo in ogni situazione
come se di ogni sorta di affetto fossimo vuoti.

Ogni segreto, ogni sciocchezza vi potete raccontare,
sempre vi ascoltate, sempre vi consigliate.
Che fortuna cosi liberamente poter parlare,
di tutto cio ogni giorno approfittate.

Quanta saggezza si cela nel gentil sesso !
Da loro dovremmo imparare presto.

Translation:

Oh freedom of womanhood,
that justify shrill screams and spontaneous postures,
those will never be allowed to us, men.
Helas* ! Is there any more superficial and useless forbiddance?

Love you show in every kind of manifestation:
Hugs, kisses and sweet words that go straight to the heart,
while we are insensitive like stones in every situation
as if every kind of love was unknown to us.

Every secret, every silly thing, you can tell you,
you always listen to you, you always give you advice,
what a luck been able to speak so freely,
of that you take advantage eveyday.

So much wisdom has the kind sex**!
From them we should learn soon.

*Helas is a french exclamation to show disappointment
** Don't know whether this exist in the English language but in Italian the "kind sex" is the female sex.

Wow. I am always impressed with your ability to write in multiple languages. In this case -the poem is wonderful and real...a shout out to the "kind sex" Those things you portray as strengths - others call some of us down for, but it is how many women are. Wonderful poem

The English version sounds like a lot of guys I know (I'm a guy as well)...the problem is that the kind of guys you talk about are the ones that are usually most popular with women...I like this one quite a bit, well done :)

Hi le parisian,

I can tell that you feel very passionate about these inequalities. There are two words that I hope you don't mind if I point them out. In the third English stanza advices should be you give advice (even if it is about multiple things)- advices is a word but it is not used, or at least I have never seen it used in noun form. The verb form advises is used; She advises her students to study for the test. Also you want to say so much wisdom- many is used with things that can be counted, much is used with things that cannot be counted.

I like the voice you have found to discuss the inequalities and difficulties of what freedom entails.
