Sognando il grande bianco nord (translation down bellow)

A Poem by 外人 (Gaijin)
"

Poem I've just written about the great white north (il grande bianco nord) where i, hopefully, will live for a year, originally thought in Italian.

"
Nei suoi bianchi territori spero di ritrovarmi fra cinque mesi e due settimane,
a contemplare queste terre a me ignote e lontane,
il grande bianco nord mi aspetta, se sorte acconsente, in tutto il suo splendore;
curioso e impaurito a desiderarlo ho passato ore.

Parenti ed amici mi lascio alle spalle per un anno,
questo è il prezzo dell'avventura di cui ancora non sanno,
fra i canucks a kelowna sar™ catapultato,
in una realtà sommersa da neve e asfalto.

Nuova gente, nuovi amici, nuova famiglia mi circonderanno,
in lingue diverse mi chiameranno,
da famiglia, amici e gente, lasciate a malincuore oltreoceano.

Nuove materie a scuola imparer™, mentre che fuori mi divertir™
fra neve, laghi e buoni amici, a giocare ad hockey saremo felici;
paese che vado, cultura che trovo, in questo posto, nuovo mi muovo.

Translation (before reading this check out "note for reviewers", please):

Title: Dreaming the great white north

In its white territories I hope to find myself in five months and two weeks,
contemplating these lands, for me unknown and far,
the great white north is waiting for me, if fate is by my side, in all his grandeur,
curious and afraid, i've been spending hours wishing for it.

Relatives and friends I will leave for a year,
this is the price for the adventure they still don't know about,
among the canucks in Kelowna I will be catapulted,
in a reality submerged by snow and asphalt.

New people, new friends, new family will suround me,
in different languages they will call me,
from the one of my family, friends and people sadly left overseas.

I will learn new subjects at school, whereas I will have fun out
among snow, lakes and good friends, to play hockey we will be glad;
country I go, culture I find, in this place, new I walk.

About the translation: I've only written one to make it possible for people who don't speak Italian to understand, but it's a terrible one:
- It doesn't respect rhymes
- It doesn't follow the same order (ex. subj - verb - compliment)
- I tryed to translate the better I could some idiomatic sentences and "words" but you will definitely see they're weird !
Just use the translation to understand, then go back to the original :)
