Very short, but it sounds pretty. This was kinda obvious though not really challenging, a wave because it just grazes the sand and back out to the sea it goes, like a small kiss on the cheek. Daughter of the sea, meaning offspring, or a smaller part of, a wave originating from the sea. use logic and it is simple. Nice write

Daughter of the sea as in daughter of the god of the sea perhaps??? hmm. Impetus means a driving force .. could it be a wave??? I'm not sure. But its a great riddle :))
