The Cool Cats And Me ~ Chapter 19
A Poem by Ray Hamilton

The Cool Cats And Me

The cool cats, are cute as they can be
For me before coffee, well you can see
I moan and grown, as I drag my feet
Strolling across this floor, I waltz half asleep

Kitten Donna

Here's Donna cut kitten as you can see
One of the great looking three
She taunts me with her pen of gold
Her writings, well they never grow old

Talented lady with her pen, that's no doubt
But her graphics, they make us all shout
It has become hard to keep up for me
She distracts this man
with their legs as you can see

Their last write as I recall
It was the short skirts
that distracted me as I took my fall
The muddy pond, where I sit cold and wet
I will not cry uncle, no not yet

Kitten Diana

Then theirs Diana, the table dancing Kitty
As you recall the night out on the town
You couldn't keep this lady down
I don't think her feet ever hit the ground

New talent here at WritersCafe
lovely lady and good friend to me
Make no mistake
she has great talent as you will see
Shy with her magic pen
Or is she just teasing
us poor defenseless men

We read Diana's writing
as her talents soar
It leaves us hoping
she will soon write some more

Kitten Lesa

Last but certainly not least
It's Lesa the queen of poetry
More of her writing we hope to see

In the poem
" The Search For Mickey Ray "
Lesa turned me in
at least thats what some people say
We all have fun in this battle of the pens
So no matter what traps you set
I will not give up not yet

I will not cry uncle, even when on the mend
But if eating treats from you three
I will wear depends

By the way Lesa
I do apologize for dominating
Donna's phone time with you
I did hear you called me a dirty name or two

Just Kidding

Tom Cat Ray

Well here I am as you can see
Still standing after the last battle
with the great three
I do need lots of hot black coffee
to stay alert no doubt
There's always going to be trouble brewing
as the great three lurk about

I will waltz along bob and weave
A moving target is hard to hit you see
I don't think it's fare and it's real tough
To pay attention as the ladies strut their stuff
It's a leg here and a wink there
See what I mean their not playing fare

They say all is fare in love and war
But it sure makes it hard to keep the score

During our time together I have been
danced off my feet
Given funny tasting treats to eat
Had to run once for the door
But who is keeping the score
I have run and hid
Yes I know just like a kid

Thrown in a pond muddy and wet
I hang in there, not giving up yet
Arrested by Charlie's Angels, what a mess
I still would not quit, have I passed the test
I had fun at The M & M Ranch
I'm glad I stayed and took the chance

You have me always on the run
I have never had so much fun
Most of the time I do take the fall
But that's alright because my dear friends
I do love you one and all
