When Music Had Soul

The music of today
well it's not like the old
It lacks meaning and rhythm
and that toe tapping soul

If you remember The Stones and Santana
Elton, Hendrix, Abba and Joplin
Those were but just few
of who got the party hop'n

The stories they told
Well they were the best
they have lasted thru
the music's time test.

Who does not know or remember
Prince and Purple Rain
ZZ Top She's got Legs
Want somebody to Love with Jefferson  Airplane

Elvis Love'n You Tender
Village People at the YMCA
Jackson Five with ABC
Charlie Daniels loving the USA

Elton Say'n good bye to yellow brick roads
Santana and that Black Magic Woman
Simon & Garfunkel being A Rock
Imagine'n with John Lennon

We got out of our chairs
and danced to the beat
Most of the time with our BFF
cause the guys were glued to their seat....

Now I have barely scratch the surface
of that awesome music of old
So many from years ago
Yeah back When Music Had Soul...
