You Are My Sunshine ღ KKD ღ

A Poem by Donna DeLong Matthews aka Gold Pen Ghost

You Are My Sunshine

Those beautiful brown eyes
are now forever closed
No future will they ever see
no truth to be disclosed

An act I can not fathom
a loss I'd hate to bare
A precious life taken
by one who could not care

I feel our Lord is with me
as I cry for justice time
He sooths my heart so gently
with 'Justice to be Mine'

There are those who made decisions
with rough future roads ahead
While I do not agree
I have to accept what was said

So precious little Angel
tonight as you rest in God's arms
No longer will you have to suffer
any of life's harms.

As a mother and grandmother myself
I dedicate this to
Cindy, George and Lee Anthony
I can not, and pray I never have to,
fathom your pain and loss.
Such a precious little Angel
taken too soon.

Cindy and George
While I can somewhat understand
the testimony given
I do not agree with it
It goes to prove lies
only cloud the truth
and do not bring justice.

To little Caylee,
while my arms never held you
my heart did.
You have touched the hearts of millions
and will never be forgotten.

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ

A very sad tragedy, the loss of a young life for no reason and now without justice... a very deeply moving poem.

My heart breaks,
but no matter how much I disagree with the Jury
WE ALL MUST ACCEPT IT'S DECISION...
Remember Justice is mine said the Lord.
That now is my only solice...
My tears mix with that of thousands.
