Something So Small

Something So Small

A Poem by Donna
"

The person I dedicate this to knows who they are. I'm sure most of you can guess who it is.

"
None of us know what people are going through in life. They may be depressed or suicidal.
We can make a difference just by doing something so small. Saying hello or smiling at someone, even a nice compliment could make someone's day better.
The past 8-9 months I have been dealing with some issues and I was getting more and more depressed.i just stayed home and wanted to be left alone.
Today I saw that I had a message. It said that they missed my writing and hope I return to the cafe soon. It made my day. That message meant so much to me. I guess I needed someone to acknowledge me.
Reach out to someone, say hello, give them a compliment, acknowledge them. It might help them more than you know.

This is a simple but astute reminder. One of my favorite quotes is: "The little things in life are like links in a chain; they never seem important by themselves." It's from Dr. Dolittle. :)

So true! Thanks for reading this! 😊
Your words ring so true my dear. We never know what others are going through and sometimes a simple smile or a kind word or two will help them survive another day. Be blessed my friend...I feel we have more in common than a love of poetry! ~Sharon

Hello. It's nice yo be around other people. Whether the talk is serious or full of fun, it's uplifting to know there is someone to share experiences with. It's uplifting.

Thank you Chris. It is good to be back. 😊
It's great to see you back writing. Depression is a horrible veil. There's no telling who you helped by sharing this.

Thank you Cherrie. 😊
just the slightest touch of kindness in a moment can do as much to pick up the spirit as a nasty word can do damage.
let's opt for the kindness.
