A sort of ode to the relationship i share with my guitar...

My guitar and i share a love-hate relationship

its not something you'd understand

if you were just a usual wannabe

trying to emulate your favourite band

 

There comes the times

where you just feel like giving up

when a guy on youtube makes you feel like an amateur

and you try but fail to level up

 

Or when you watch your favourite artist

strum away to glory

and the inspiration kicks in

to continue your rollercoaster story.

 

The ups and downs are there

like any other affair

but the love remains strong

and its great i swear.

WHY DOESN'T THIS HAVE ANY REVIEWS?!!
I know exactly how this feels! To the letter!
I've been playing guitar for almost 3 years, and from the outset it was 'I want to be in a band; I want to make it'. There are a couple of guys in my Music class who make me feel totally inadequate, but sometimes I'm listening to my favourite band... it's just a total kick up the bum, you know? A call to get up and get out there. It's amazing.
You describe that relationship perfectly.
There I was thinking I was alone in feeling this way. Thanks for opening my eyes. :)
