Expectations

Expectations

A Poem by The Ugly Rose
"

It's about how hard we try to be pretty for the people of the world

"

I stretch, I flex

I push, I pull

Tendons straining

Muscles working

Stomach contracting

Pain up my leg

I bend over

I stretch up

My leg shoots out

My ankle stretches

No rest for my body

No movement without pain

Must have the perfection

Must have the lovely body

For them we must

Be all but beautiful..

So I'm in pain

But that's how it is

Be that gorgeous goddess

Be that lovely lady...
