The Quest

The Quest

A Poem by Tabitha Marie

It's nothing like what you see

You can't hold onto it, a touch is a mere dream

Where it's found you can not go

Never letting you know

How to get it or obtain it's use

What can you do?

Days go by and you just wait

But you never try to investigate

Look around, it's everywhere

The golden sun upon one's hair

The thump you hear until you die

Now do you understand why?

Playing games all so the same

Till the day you reach this name

It will need a lot of time

Working at it steady with rhyme

Changing right before your eyes

But do you think it could really be?

So unclear to your cloudy thoughts

You continue on, it's worth the shot

Sometime's you will be knocked down

But that's why you must learn to drown

Don't you see it's all decided

The journey is to recognize it.

One day the fall will bring you to

Someone who makes you more than you

Two hearts connected as just one

You'll never ever have to run

And try again this wonderous quest

Cause in your heart the path will rest.
